From antiquity to the 21st century, from the archives to Instagram: follow for news, analysis, historical facts, & events from the Department of History at Texas State University.

Our department offers B.A. and M.A. degrees, annually servicing over 475 undergraduate and 80 graduate majors, and provides instruction to close to 10,000 students each year. Our department has over forty full-time, Ph.D.-holding faculty members who offer a wide variety of courses spanning the globe in coverage while also conducting ground-breaking research.

Our department has emerged as one of the most dynamic public history programs in the nation, placing future leaders in public history nationwide.
